Why do I keep getting locked up and booted off the internet?

We just switched from dial up to broadband or wireless. Everytime I get on the internet and go to a site, I freeze up and then I have to kick off and kick back on. It really gets to be aggrivating.

I don't know without any more specifics, but my dad had a similar problem with his computer on my network turned out he was getting denial of service attack for the uk. My firewall caught it an finally got it blocked. Call your isp tech support they will be able to help.
