I heard something about if the quad is under 50 cc's they are alud to drive them.

that is one of those things that are up to the arresting officers discretion, in T.O. you would be nailed, outside Thunder Bay who's to say ? either way i would make shure they had helmets etc. do the units have signal lights ?brake lights ? etc. a 49 cc engine on a bicycle , no problem , those things are questionable , check with the O.P.P.

A child under 16 (unlicensed) is not legally allowed to drive any sort of motorized vehicle on the street. Unfortunately many police forces don't bother to enforce this because there's no money in it.

Not on the street, they aren't. They aren't insured and registered, and cannot be registered for street use, period. They are mini off-road vehicles.
