I recently bought a succulent plant for my dorm room, but I later realized that my room gets very litle to no direct sunlight...can it survive off my fluorescent light alone?

Artificial light can be supplemented as the sole source of light for your plants. While many other kinds of houseplants would be perfectly happy under standard fluorescent tubes, succulents need the full-spectrum type. Vita-lite,Grow-Lux Wide Spectrum, and Naturescent/Optima are the kinds of tubes needed for maximum plant development.Have a good-time at school, and with your plant.Bye

I'm not sure if it needs what is called a "grow-light" made for just such situations, or whether a plain ol' flourescent light will do. Also, you didn't say what plant you bought, so, I don't know what its light demands are, so, look into that for your particular plant and then look into "grow-lights" as compared to flourescent lights to see which is best for your plant. I know I used to love plants in our dorm area when I was in college, decades ago. God Bless you.
