i tried out 4 asolo in choir and i got it all but i never make it to the talent show

Try recording yourself and then listen to it. That way you can judge for yourself :-).

Well, go out for the school choir and try out for a solo and see what your chorus teacher thinks.

I am the same way, I found out that I can really sing by recording me on my cell phone or my digital camera. It is fun actually listening to your voice, cuz its sooo unique!

Try recording your own voice while u sing then listen to it, and have other people listen to it

talent shows....solo at local university usually open to everyone and all ages, go to their music department ask if theirs any coming up and open to the public and if you win well there you go.

if your old enough go to a karaoke club out of town where no one knows you ......do some songs .........see the audience's reaction ....worked for me i dont sing in public anymore...lol

join a band or go solo and get people to hear you-sell tickets if people come you must be good!-lol
