The Roman Empire ruled most of the know western world for 1,000 years and gave their people wealth, security, entertainment, and really the best quaility of life of anyone at that time. No modern day democratic society has even come close to lasting as long as the Roman Empire and I doubt the US will make it another 800 years unless it becomes an Empire while it still has the opportunity.

1) Yes. Invading Iraq and Afghanistan created a massive insurgency. Now imagine invading 150 odd other countries
2) Yes. There are lots of countries with nuclear weapons - and they would use them if you tried to invade them
3) See above
4) Yep. Invading their country won't make them go away
5) Probably not as EVERYONE would hate you. And you'd have a country completely decimated by the nuclear weapons of France, Britain, China, Russia, North Korea, Pakistan and India as you tried to invade them.
6) Globalization is here to stay already
7) No - but you would have to worry about the death of every single american citizen, as they'd ALL have to be in the army required to subdue the rest of the world
8) Well you'd rule Israel
9) Again, you'd rule them
10) That's a pretty substantial list of worries right there.

Since the US would have to fundamentally change before we would even try to take over the world, your question is impossible to answer.
