I dunno I have seen some really great concerts over the years it would be hard to single one live perfomer or performance out...I guess the one that changed my mind the most and made me into a fan was Queen...they were awesome! I went in a "they are ok" to "All hail Queen!" afterward...Freddy Mecury was undoubtedly one of the most incredible front men of any rock group I have ever seen...and Brian May is astounding...plus we had great seats!
Then there was Ray Charles, what can I say the man was a true genius!
And The Pretenders, and Heart, and David Bowie, and Bruce Springsteen, and Bonnie Raitt, and John Prine, and Bob Dylan, and Aerosmith, and Kiss, and Kansas, and INXS, and that is just the ones that come to mind at this moment...LOL
As far as most consistant aside from Heart I would have to say my favorite live band is still and always will be The Dave Matthews Band...I am a Dave head...LOL
All that to get to this..I just can't make up my mind! Aren't I lucky? LOL
Oh frig it I forgot the Moody Blues...them too...thanks person above! LOL

Jethro Tull , it was 1976 at the L.A. Coliseum with 93,000 people . It was the first big concert held within Los Angles city limits . Great performance , Robin Trower , Starcastle and Rory Gallagher played warm-up performances . In between sets the world skate board finals were held and also tight rope walker Karl Wallanda (now departed) set a new world record for an inclined tight rope walk from the stadium floor to the top of the floodlights and that was awesome also ! We had a blanket near center stage on the playing field about 40 feet from the stage . It was one huge party with red cross tents set up all around for O.D. cases and people were dropping like flies from too much partying. It was quite a memorable event.

For me it was REM because they're my favorite and have been since I was eleven. I've got all their albums on CD and back in my high school days I collected every magazine article and picture I could find from my Rolling Stone and Spin issues. I even traded things with some friends of mine including cassettes of live shows. So when I finally got to see them in 1999 in Seattle where I grew up, it was the best show I'd ever seen, truly an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I've not been to another concert since(I used to go to quite a few I suppose) and if I never see another live concert as long as I live, I'll die a happy girl :)

Sept. 27 1989 LittleFeat in a 3000 person venue in D.C. and on that Suday the 29th I seen The Rolling Stones at RFK stadium.
What a great weekend, LittleFeat was great in such a small venue and nobody ever sit down and actually we stood on our seats the whole time. And of course the stones are the stones and they rocked.

Prince and whatever group of musicians that is backing him up. I have been to a lot of different concert and for your money there is not going to be a tighter more enjoyable show. Every one of his concerts that I've been at has been about 3 hours of just him and it's amazing. I always leave with a sore throat from singing all night but it's worth it.

for me the 3 best bands I have seen live (not in any particular order) would be, The Eagles, AC/DC, Iron Maiden. Seen so many live bands who were all fantastic but those 3 are the ones that stand out the most for me.
