One of my favourite films. It shows that human beings cannot be anything but what they are...no matter how hard they try to be someting else.
Great acting....great story.

Liked it so much that I bought the DVD have watched it 5 times and still think its ace. My DVD also has monsson wedding which is a companion film. ASDA special deal, look out for it.
I have the directors commentary and the unused scenes, its just so much like salford now !!

Love the bit when the two lasses come from Bradford. They're potential wives for George's two sons, & when they're neighbour clocks them, she says "They're bleedin gorgeous"
It's one of the best films - along with Rita, Sue & Bob Too

hahahah it is a very funny film, love the part when they bring those girls over to the brothers, because they are going to be their future wives. Those girls are just so un-pretty
