i think they're very mediocre. They have a very predictable song structure, and chord progression. They do have very catchy lyrics, and sound and preform great live.

Hawthorne Heights is a great band...if you are in the mood to listen to total crap by a bunch of whining losers.

There's really no good or bad in music, but a lot of people who think they are superior to others and can look down on other peoples' music tastes... so it depends on what you already like. I like them.
