Ok, first one do you think Barry Zito will choke with the Giants? With the salary hes getting and the years the giants are going to expect everything from this guy. And renemgber hes olny 28 so it may be tough. Also do you think the Mets have a shot? There pitching rotation sucks, its all fulll of sucky rookies and people with 400 eras, sure there lineup is great but look at the rotation......... What sucky team do you think will have the best shot at making the playoffs? I think the Cubs because they got Alfanso ( Although it was over priced) And they have more pitching so they dont have to put pressure on Carlos Zambrono And the oldies, and they got Lou Pennila (Great)! Next one do you think the Red Sox will accutly have a shot at winning this season? And do you think that Jappenise guy will be a hit there? And do you think Sammy Sosa will be good with the O's this season? After resting it out. And what team do you predict will be in last place this year? ( I think the Natinols)

I think that Zito is inconsistent and his better days are behind him. He isn't worth the money the Giants are paying him. The Mets, despite their shaky rotation, will win first place by only 2 games. The Cubs despite their acquisitions will fall only 3 games short of the postseason. the Red Sox will win the Wild Card by only 1 game because of the Blue Jays. The Yankees will win the Division yet again. Sammy Sosa's stats will continue to decline. The Nationals will finish in last place. The Yankees will win first place by 12 games. They will beat the Tigers in the ALDS 3-1.
They will also sweep the Red Sox as well as scoring 44 runs in four games against them. Matsusaka will give up 7 runs in his first inning against the Yankees including a two run shot by Giambi, and a grand slam by A-Rod. And, the Yankees will win their 27th Championship against the Mets once again, in a sweep. The Mets barely squeaked by to get to the World Series. After the season, Matsusaka calls the Yankees his daddy and signs a five year contract with the Yankees.

1. Barry Zito won't choke with the Giants. His mechanics are too good.

2. The Mets will win the NL Wild Card behind the Phillies.

3. The Indians can make the playoffs.

4. The Red Sox always have a shot, its just whether or not they can work as a TEAM.

5. The Japanese guy (Daisuke Matsuzaka) will falture by the All-Star break.

6. Sammy Sosa's batting average will not exceed .230.

7. Last Place will be the Nationals.

In my opinion Barry Zito will fit in fine with the Giants because he is not changing atmosphere and is getting an enourmous salary. The sucky team that has a shot is the brewers. I've benn waiting for this for a couple years and this year might be their wild card season. The mets suck. Period. The red sox need a better bullpen and more speed. They are not going to score many runs this year. Matsuzaka will get around 15 wins this year and next year 20. Sosas will retire after the all star break because he finally relized he's no good without the juice. The worst team in the mlb will be the Pirates.

Zito may never put up numbers worthy of his new contract and because of this I predict that he will underachieve.

The Mets may very well win it all this year-IF the starting rotation holds up. I agree that you need pitching to win it all, but don't underestimate the sucky rookies, though. I loved the way Maine and Perez pitched in NLCS games 6 and 7 respectively and hopefully they will come into their own this year, as everyone returns to spring training with a year's worth of seasoning under their belts.

I agree with your assessment on the Cubs' chances. Piniella is a great manager, and Soriano is a great player (the Cubs' front office are even greater fools for giving him that contract).

The Red Sox will win their division because they have improved their team AND the Yankees are aging. Matsuzaka wikk catch fire early on, but as soon as everyone gets more familiar with his pitches, the AL hitters will destroy him.

The only useful contribution that Sammy Sosa can make from now on in a Major League ballpark is that of a groundskeeper.

I say the Florida Marlins will be the bottom feeders of MLB. Joe Girardi did a magnificent job with that ballclub, and Jeffrey Loria fired him because Joe had the balls to stand up to him. So, because Loria's butthole twitched excessively maybe due to having too many objects lodged within it, be loses a great manager and the fish will hit the skids.

firstly..no zito wont choke with the giants. hes reliable and in my opinion is a great pitcher. Yes he is 28 and is getting alot of salary (if you work it out its like $5000 a pitch!!!) but hes a guy who knows what hes doing and has to step up and be the ace in san fran.
secondly..the mets need their young guns to really contribute this season. good pitching always beats good hitting!
3rdly... i agree that the cubs will make the play offs. its a shame they lost juan pierre but i would take the 40-40-40 man over top of him any day;)
next...the red sox will do well this year and win the al east...the yanks obviously have the best team in baseball with the kind of money they have but the sox have the chemistry to go a long way as well as a SICK! starting rotation now with matsuzaka and papelbon being turned into a starter as well.
sammy will suck balls with the Os..hes burned out in my opinion
and finally i also think the nationals will be in last place with the lose of soriano
