You can only get pregnant by having sex on the right 4-7 days in a month. So maybe you have just been lucky that has been the case.

If you do not want to get pregant then I think you have pushed your luck enough, and should now go to a Family Planning Clinic to get some sort of pretection.

If you have now decided that you would like to have a baby, then go to http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/ovu/ and this will tell you the best days to have sex in order to conceive.

I'm a social worker and was about to undertake an adoption assessment of a couple who had finally chosen to adopt as they had been trying unsuccesfully to get pregnant for 8 years. I began my assessment with them and on my second visit they greeted me with the news they were pregnant!! All they can put it down to is the decision to adopt had relaxed them and stopped them stressing about becoming pregnant and hey presto!!! Maybe you're stressing too much? Stress can stop a women ovulating and without ovualtion you can't get pregnant. Lots of best wishes and baby luck to you. Ps - the man of this couple also had had a hernia operation the year earlier and it obviously didn't stop them conceiving-i'm no medical expert but i wouldn't imagine a hernia operation would have anything to do with you not conceiving.

Most doctors tell women that it usually takes around a year to conceive...so I guess after 1 year and 3 months thats not too worrying but if you are trying for a baby and havent gotten pregnant within the next few months you could mention it to your Doctor who should refer you both for fertility tests!! In the part of the UK where I live you have to have been trying for atleast a year before they will refer you! Goodluck

if after a year of trying to concieve and no luck should really go and see a gp and both of you get tested for stds and ask for other investigations to be carried out, such as your partners sperm count whether or not your ovulating and have examinations/scans to ensure that your falopian tubes are not bloked. however do not stress as ive read this may cause a psychological block making it hard to concieve. also try herbal remedies, such as agnus castus, she oak, black cohosh (for you) selenium and zinc (for partner).
good luck try not to worry everyones body is different and some people take longer to get pregant for no reason.

This definitely isn't normal. They usually say that if you don't conceive in one year, it's time to seek fertility treatment, or at least testing to find out.

You could also get an ovulation kit and start charting your basal temperature (very easy) to find out if you're ovulating on a regular basis.

IF after 1 year of trying you should be checked. Fiance needs to have sperm checked to make sure hes fertile. In addition you may want to try calculating when your going to be fertile and make sure to have sex during that time. Thats how my husband and I just conceived. Its worth going to be checked though just in case.
