For every major event in history, there is at least one conspiracy theorist who comes up with a crackpot notion and then attempts to fit as much evidence to it as possible. I've included one link to a site that addresses the claims of the moon landing conspiracy theorists. There are others.

Keep the following in mind: We had an arch-rival at the time who would have loved to have exposed a fraud in the landings. The program was a direct challenge to the Soviet Union's lead in space. They tracked our missions with their own radar and telemetry intercepts. They also had an excellent spy network. Had the landings been fake, they would have been the first to expose them, and immediately.

This question gets asked a lot.

Personaly, I neither believe nor disbelieve. I don't care or see how it has any impact on my life, so I just don't worry about it enough to make a decision.

I think if people really want a reason to believe the Government is lieing or cheating them, there are far more tangeable and readily observable things happening here on Earth.

For instance, the United States Millitary is more powerful than the next 22 Millitary's combine.. yet we still spend about half our money every year on more weapons. Eisenhower used to like to talk about the price of Battleships in terms of bushels of corn, Bombers in terms of houses, tanks in terms of roads and bridges.

A single B-1 bomber costs as much as over 200 thousand K-12 educations.

That's a much better reason to be pissed, if you ask me.

If you think about it, it would actually have taken far more planning and effort to pull off a "hoax moon landing" than it did just to go!

You know (I presume) how much it cost to go, can you begin to imagine how much more it would have cost to convince all the people "involved" not to let on that it was a hoax?

They had to send something all the way anyway, so many people were watching through telescopes (me included), so what would the motive have been not just to do what they said they were doing?

Of course the landings were real.

This "Question" (I use quotes because a lot of time it is not a question, but a statement that they were faked) comes up several times a week and are shot down several times a week.

Unfortunatly, some people will not be convinced by facts but perfer to believe that someone is trying to pull a fast one.

How many independent witnesses do you need? There were many ground stations picking up TV signals. These were fed by radio dishes tracking the moon. NASA could not have faked these signals.
