what do action films have that adventure films don't?

Action is exactly that. Action. And it can take place in a valley or in a small room. There's always something happening to make the main character react. Adventure 'takes you somewhere'. Like on an adventure. Adventures usually have lots of action, but Action seldom has any adventure. Narnia, they find adventure in a closet. Dorothy finds adventure in her dreams of Oz. Indiana Jones finds adventure on the other side of the world. Pirates find adventure out on the open waters. Action movies let us tag along without having to get involved. We can just watch the action and we're satisfied. Adventures let us tag along while promoting our involvement so that we feel as though we are on the same adventure as the peeps on screen. :-)

Action is fight,boom explosion bang,gun,sword, kick man gets hot babe, roll credits.
Adventure has a plotline and a story to support it. add the gun, hot babe , and roll credits.
