Think about this a sec. The more advanced animals also have longer lives, so it would be more time before being a human. For instance, a dung beetle lives about 90 days. An elephant, about 65 years. Also, take into account that natural selection will prevail. If you are a mouse, your chances of being dismembered by a hawk are good. If you choose a cat, your chances of being a domesticated housecat are not too bad. Your chances are that of any other animal. Very few animals die of old age. Think of quality of life. You will also have the mental capacity of that animal (in otherwords, if you chose to be a rat, you will not think like a human, you would think like a rat). And of course the length of time before being reincarnated as a human again. Think about how animals percieve time as well.

Remember guys, you don't get to pick your place within the species. If you choose a cat, for instance, you could be an alleycat, but just as likely a housecat. You might as likely find yourself in a chinese butcher shop.

Guys, you can not choose within the species. Only the species itself!

Something aquatic so I could see and experience things we can't as land animals.

Edit: Thought about it more. I pick dolphin. They aren't (at least commonly) hunted for food, they're smart, and I don't care if they have a long life span because it'd be interesting to be farther in the future when I return as a human.

Cool question. I'd choose to be a long haired pet mouse. I'd not want to be an animal, so I'd choose an animal with a shorter life span, then I could have put my ' dues ' in for having to be an animal . . . then move on to next life as a human again. I like the expansiveness of having a human mind as opposed to the limited mind of a animal (bless their hearts).

I would like to be the spoiled dog of a wealthy man or woman. Dogs have no sense of time, so it would not matter to me how long I live. Also, quality is more important than quantity when it comes of years of life (to me).

A: "Animal" from the muppet show....

....& how about a big thumbs up for the fact that no one has been lame enough to come on here yet and say, "Reincarnation doesn't exist" or something. Now that's refreshing.

I would be a hawk because they can fly and that's what I've always wanted to do and I don't care if I won't appreciate it because I'm a hawk or whatever I just want to fly.

A bird for 2 main reasons. First reason is the freedom of flight and the second is the ability to crap on others for a change.

I would be some sort of housefly, so I could be crushed or die quickly. Then I could return to being human.

I would like to be a house cat. But I would want to live with someone who would take care of me, not like some one who would abuse animals.
