Think about this a sec. The more advanced animals also have longer lives, so it would be more time before being a human. For instance, a dung beetle lives about 90 days. An elephant, about 65 years. Also, take into account that natural selection will prevail. If you are a mouse, your chances of being dismembered by a hawk are good. If you choose a cat, your chances of being a domesticated housecat are not too bad. Your chances are that of any other animal. Very few animals die of old age. Think of quality of life. You will also have the mental capacity of that animal (in otherwords, if you chose to be a rat, you will not think like a human, you would think like a rat). And of course the length of time before being reincarnated as a human again. Think about how animals percieve time as well.

Remember guys, you don't get to pick your place within the species. If you choose a cat, for instance, you could be an alleycat, but just as likely a housecat. You might as likely find yourself in a chinese butcher shop.

Guys, you can not choose within the species. Only the species itself!
