Well, is your fathers name on your birth certificate? If not, then the answers lay with your mother. If you know your fathers name or any other basic information on him you could do a search online for information about him. Or if you know anyone in his family you could ask him.
If you don't know any of that information, I would have a sit down heart to heart talk with you mother and let her know that this is information that you would really like to know. And you should also let her know that not knowing this information could hurt you in the long run. Just tell your mom how you feel from the bottom of your heart.
Maybe she will have a change of heart and tell you about your dad.
Good luck!

You can get your DNA traced to find your ethnicity. Oprah Winfrey had it done. Just type in Oprah + DNA test in google and it should come up.
But I think you should talk to other relatives on your Moms side. Ask your Mom's sisters & brothers--I'm sure they know exactly what happened before you were born, who your Dad is, and what his name was. That has happened often in my family--where somebody didnt know who their real Dad was--but ALWAYS other relatives know the full story, because they were alive and there when the Mom got pregnant. Ask your aunts, uncles, older cousins, great-Aunts, Grandmas, and somebody will tell you the Truth.
Dont ask them in an angry way, but be very mature and say
"I know that I am not all white, and I'm an adult now, so will you please tell me what the real story is with my Dad--what is his name, what color was he--how did he and my mom get together?" Somebody will tell you. Just ask.

Is there anyone else in your family you can go to who might help answer your questions? Is it a matter that you are still too young and your mother may tell you at a later time?
Maybe if you explain how important it is for you to know, maybe your mom will be more open about it.
Good luck!

Do you know your grandmother (from your father's side)? That's a way to find out. Or tell your mom that you think you are old enough to learn out about your birth father and hope she tells you

You can get your own DNA checked out, that will give you a percentage mix. I have no idea what it would cost though.

Ask your grandparents if your mom won't tell you. Did you look on your birth certificate, perhaps the information is on it.
