Now, I hope you will give this a look because it is quite interesting!

There was a recent study to trace the 'Adam' or first man of homo sapien by using the Y chromosome. This can be done because the Y chromosome is passed from man to man, obviously, and because there is only one, lineage is much easier to trace.

The Y chromosome remains unchanged when passed to offspring, except for occassional mutation. However, then these mutations are passed as well, maintaining a distinct lineage.

So, by sampling and scrutinizing enormous amounts of male DNA from region to region eventually spanning the globe, it was deciphered that there is a common link found in ALL male Y chromosomes today: that of the common ancestor, the actual 'Adam'.

To be brief as I can, I'll sidestep all the scientific evidential support, but it was deciphered that this man did indeed originate in Eastern Africa, perhaps Ethiopia or Somalia some 150,000 years ago.

I have no clue, I'm a Christian and I do believe in evolution and in the Bible it does show that when Adam's son was expelled for killing his brother that he was not be harmed by anyone he came into contact with so that shows that there were plenty of other people around at that time.

Ha! I wonder how Avery evolved? If we came from monkies, why are there still monkies? If a big boom happened in space, what made the boom? Sorry, BANG! Why would a pool of gunk decide to gather together & poof, make life? Jehovah told Moses to write Adam as the first man, & that works for me. Don'tcha just love these questions?

There is no first person. Modern homo sapiens sapiens have been around for about 40,000 years. We obviously have no written records going back that far. And the change to a new species is gradual.
