You're a very intelligent man, keep searching in the vicinity your in. I'm 100% sure your road will be enlighten. Don't forget the God we serve is excessive, extremely wealthy in every area. But, don't forget what pleases him. (Romans 4:18) Glorify him in every situation. 1 Corinthians13 states when you was a child you thought as one, but now your a man. So put away those childish behaviors...Don't give in, stay strong and keep pressing on. :)

I am spiritual, but do not believe in God. I find it in the wilderness. When I go hiking or backpacking, it lifts me up for quite some time. Being in the wilderness suddenly makes things very simple. All the day to day worries are gone and the only real concern is survival. I find it very enlightening and uplifting. Other than that, I have a job I love (special ed teacher for preschoolers) and good friends and family. Nice wine also helps. And, believe me, I know...I'm going through divorce and it is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, so I need to find strength now more than ever. Also...exercising is great (whatever...walking, biking, running, etc) for the spirit and so are pets!

All strength comes from within the self. You may choose to think it is a god giving you strength, but actually, I fear, there is no great outside being watching you and helping you. If you are confident and have belief in yourself, then you will realise that YOU have the answers. You do not need a nebulous creature to tell you what to do. The trick is to make a decision to do something, do it and then not look backwards. There is nothing to be gained from that. Sure, you can learn from what you have done, but one needs to look forwards if one is to progress.
I promise you, the strength you feel you need is IN you!
I know that I like me and I do not set my sights too high, so I do not set out to fail. There is no point me wanting to be a brain surgeon because I know it won't happen, so I decide to do things tha ARE within my reach. That way, I succeed and success breeds success. You can do it too...honest.

God.
Just like when in the NT Pilate said to Jesus, "Don't you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?" and Jesus responded, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above."
I believe all of us get our strength from above, but only some of us are aware of it.
People are weak and often selfish so they almost always fail us when we need them, but God is perfect so He will never fail us when we ask for His help earnestly.
