I know it's pretty much configurated for Internet Explorer,but I'm using Firefox.I also have Norton AntiVirus,which everyone knows it's not that reliable.
So,is it worth installing it?

Defender is good, make sure you get at least two antispyware cause no one antispyware can detect all spyware.

It is an alright antivirus but Norton is a lot better than all of the free products. It detects and prevent viruses and internet worms from reaching your computer. Or you could get Nod 32 which is made by Eset. It is just like Norton but it is a lot faster at virus scanning which would be a good thing if you don't like waiting long and it takes up less ram which is 20mb. So you don't have to worry about freezes on your computer.

Window defender is a good choice but i would suggest you get more antispyware programs. A single app can't caught all the malware, thtat's why you need to have more than one. You can also get a free antivirus app instead of Norton. Uninstall Norton and try this free antivirus here http://www.free-av.com

I use Windows Defender and love it. It is an excellent AS program. No single AS program, no matter how good, can protect you completely. It is best to have 3 AS programs that provide Full Time protection running on your computer.
I use WD, Spybot Search and Destroy (Tea Timer activated) and SpywareBlaster as my Full Time protection. I do a Daily scan with Windows Defender. I do a Weekly scan with Spybot. SpywareBlaster does not scan, it monitors and blocks incoming malware.
I also use the Free AVG Antispyware and AdAware SE for weekly scans.
