He has received very good reviews in this role for being a strong drumming presence but without explicitly imitating Moon.

I see nobody mentioned this but Zak Starkey (Ringo's boy) is the new drummer (well as of last year) for Oasis. Long live the Gallagher brothers.

Who is Zak Starkey?

Excellent.....drumming with The Who is NOT easy given their varying tempos....but he never misses a beat, and is the backbone of the band with bass player Pino Palliadino....BOTH replacing wonderful drummers and bassists...John Entwistle probably one of THE top 3 in the world in his time...certainly the loudest. Spooky and rather fitting that Keith Moon gave Zak his first drumkit when Zak was around 10.....go figure. Fate eh...?
