I think it's time to see a fertility doctor and/or endocrinologist. Some women, me included, have what is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). It has an array of symptoms and can occur in varying degrees of severity. Some women have a mild case in which irregular periods and/or bad cramping occurs. Others like myself have the whole ball of wax. Difficulty getting pregnant, weight gain, painful irregular periods, and the list goes on. More research has been done on this and more is defienately needed. It took me over 3 years to have my first pregnancy. I had to do fertility drugs and inseminations at the doctors, but I got twins out of all that! The last 2 pregnancies were easier because my hormones were in better range after the first pregnancy. The only treatment being used at present for PCOS is Metformin. There is no cure unfortunately, but they are working on ways to manage it. Check with your doctor. There are some blood tests that can be done, ultrsounds visualization of the ovaries and a good medical history can help with diagnosis. The PCOS affects all your hormones including insulin. PCOS sufferers have varying degrees of insulin resistance. The Metformin is given to reduce this and this helps the rest of the body get back in line. Good luck and let me know!

Sweetheart, the fact that you were molested as a child most likely has nothing to do with your miscarriage or your fertility. I'm sorry that it happened to you, but it was not your fault.
You should get an exam by your doctor if you're concerened about something being wrong with your body as a result of the sexual abuse, since we dont know what happened we can't answer that, but it would be odd unless your were seriously injured physically in the assault.
Call your doctor and express your concerns, since you've been trying long enough, I'd see a fertility doctor...there can be many factors and many are fixable.
I just went through it myself.
Good luck and God Bless.....
Surviving an abuse is a hard thing and infertility is awful...I've been there. I'd also advise a little counseling.

I was exactly 4 weeks pregnant. I found out the day my period should have started. Normally I would have waited, but something didn't feel right so I took a test. I am now 21 weeks 3 days w/ baby 1.

Try timing your ovulation by calendaring your cycle. You can take your temperature everyday as soon as you wake up and chart it. The high is when you are fertile. There is a four hour window in one month where you can get pregnant.
Stress can play a part in it.
Try seeing a doctor and getting a scan done. There may be a cyst or scar tissue that is blocking the uterus.
