yes - because when we dream - we see with our brains and not with our eyes!

The answer, simply put, appears to be "no." When people born blind were questioned about what they "see" in dreams in several studies, their answers indicate that the experience of vision first is needed before it can be translated into a dream. Those blind for a lifetime instead experience other keenly developed senses in their dreams--i.e., the sensation of moving around, the emotion of joy, etc

Well my opinion is that if somebody was born blind then how would they know they're dreaming, if they've never seen anything? But if they became blind when they were older, like anywhere from 4 or 5 and up then yes they would, and they would know they're dreaming because they know what things look like

Being blind doesn't mean you can't see in colour... dreams can be anything regardless of being blind.

I just read about this actually. Those who were born blind do NOT dream in color. Something in their brain (I do not remember what it's called) wasn't fully developed or was broken at birth- therefore they can not visualize color in their dreaming, which makes sense since they've never seen color in their waking life.

Those who became blind during their lifetime can dream in color as far as I know.

People born blind do not understand what sight is. Imagine trying to describe sight to someone... you can't. Thus, they cannot see in their dreams... they probably just hear and feel.

if someone has been blind for life would you not naturally assume that their dreams would be in a blind world? mental images from the other senses... color is visual only so I would suspect they would not even have "visual" dreams

I dont know...thats a good question. But consider this. do they even dream in pictures? cuz theyve never really seen anything before. (unless they went blind later in life)

If they have become blind, then yes they do.
If they are blind from birth, then they dream in sounds.
