There are so many homicides, the fact that a black athlete was murdered is no different. And this is not to put down the victim, just an observation of our culture.

This was a huge story in sports and on the general media. They even held a big funeral for him (which was covered as well). The story of the USC kicker that was found dead got a lot less attention in the media.

I don't think it is a racial thing. It doesn't faze me anymore to hear about anyone being murdered. Same thing with school shootings. I walk right by the TV and don't even stop to listen anymore. Sadly, it has just gotten to be an everyday thing so people aren't shocked.
Who died?

Okay KKK Jr, enlighten me-why are we surprised? When anyone is murdered it is a tragedy. You need to join the Army and serve with young men and women of all races and have them watch your back. You will judge the person, not the color then.
BTW-I am white.

It's a shock anytime someone with such a high profile (athlete, actor, musician, etc) has been killed, especially in such a senseless manner. Why would that have anything to do with race?

why do you have to make it a race issue. its not.
you people that keep bringing race out when there's no reason to are the ones that keep racism as an issue in our society.
