i think would look weird with the normal kind but idk some peopel say the clear ones make your teeth look yellow is that true? which should i get....plz answer

Don't get the clear ones. It really stands out when you get food stuck in them. They will also make your teeth look yellow. It will draw more attention to your mouth when people really aren't sure if they see braces or not. They'll tend to do a double take just to make sure. No matter what people are going to see that you have braces, so just pick a color you like.

What's the difference? Yellow......or purple, pink or blue??? Braces make your teeth look wierd. I had braces, and my experience is that yellow-looking teeth from clear braces is the result of the adhesive that attaches the bracket to the tooth turning yellow over time. So, console yourself that just about the time your teeth look good and yellow, the braces will come off! And you will have beautiful, straight teeth and a healthy, youthul smile! Not to mention, straight teeth are easier to keep clean resulting in fewer cavities in the future.

DONT get clear, they make people's teeth look nasty. The clear bands DO turn yellow, and the clear braces part makes you look like you have really gross teeth from afar. It looks like there's things built up on them, nobody likes that. I say, if you don't want it to be so noticeable, try invisilign. It's not priced terribly but is more expensive than regular metal braces. Hope that helps :)

DON'T GET CLEAR!! They do turn yellow within days. And it doesn't matter how often you brush. All you have to do is drink a dark soda or coffee or tea or anything like that. I had braces and tried the clear and it looked disgusting after three or four days. Go with the colored bands.

I'd go clear if your over 18. I had clear braces up top and never had a yellowing problem. Make sure you really keep up with you oral hygiene and see you dentist regularly to avoid the yellowing.
I agree that you may want to consider Invisialign. They came out just after I got my braces (darn) and the price difference isn't that bad.

I would get the regular ones. The clear ones do make your teeth look yellow. My sister has the clear ones and my daughter has the reg ones. I think the reg ones look much better. My sisters just draw more attention to her smile then the reg ones.

I'm getting braces soon, and I'm going with the colored ones. The clear ones to look like you have yellow teeth.And if u eat certain foods(cheese puffs)the braces will look orange. get the colored ones, but pick a color that is'nt very flashy(pink,yellow).Go with a darker color. Good Luck!

the clear ones, i have those, but they only make your teeth look yellow when you get like the tooth colored rubber bands, always gets the clear ones. the other colors never match mi teeth and makes them look yellow. the clear ones are MUCH better than regular, believe me.
