I'm 14 and there's a guy in my old town I used to know that contacted me via MySpace last night and told me he's in love with me. There's an entire alphabet of reasons why I wouldn't date him, starting with I'm happily taken, and ending with he lives in another town. He put a picture of me as an angel in his pictures, he wrote a blog with a hidden message saying he loves me, and it's really kind of creeping me out and I don't want it to put my current relationship in jeopardy. I don't want to hurt him... but I don't want to give him false hope, either. He'd make a great friend, but I don't think of him as a boyfriend type and I'm really happy with who I have. I also don't believe in love at my age. How do I tell him all of this without hurting him too badly?

which ever way you choose to tell him...he is going to feel hurt...but give him time and he will soon get over it and move on

I know this is going to sound cheesy but honesty is the best policy! Just tell him exactly what you feel. It's much easier to communicate over the computer so I would e-mail him a say exactly what you said in this question. I know that it will be very hard to do but you will feel much better and this guy will respect you more(even if he's hurt by it).

Tell him you're happy in your current relationship. Tell him you're flattered by his affections but you would never jeopardize your relationship with your partner.
By the way..you seem like a very intelligent 14 year old. You type and spell alot better than many of the people on here.

This is not a Polls & Surveys question, but you could always tell him that you are already taken, and tell him all the reason why you cant date him. Hope him understand, move on with your life and never look back.

Tell him your not ready. Tell him your taken, but maybe someday. If he loves you hed understand. But no matter what you say, it will hurt. I would think this would be creepy too. He sounds like a stalker. He might be a good boyfriend if you tried someday, but thats no reason to leave your current boyfriend.

Tell him that you like him as a friend but nothing more...tell him that your intentions aren't to hurt him and tell him to give up hoping that you and him will ever be together. Honesty hurts but it's the only way. Good luck!

Yes ? be blunt and honest. (no harm, no foul)
No? tell him 2 get lost, and do as stated by others.. i.e. blocking him, private crap.. and so forth.
BUT.. if u dont wanna jepordise ur current relastionship.. tell ur b/f about the guy.. so that he doesnt think bad things..

He has no reason to act this way so it is all in his imagination. Tell him you like him as a friend and you have a BF. Then let it go.

Let him know you are committed to your current boyfriend. I wouldn't be friends if things he does creep you out.

Just be honest with him. Many people would rather hear the truth then be lied to. He would probably appreciate you really telling him how you feel.
