I loathed high school so much! Even now more than ever. All these stupid kids with their drugs and baggy pants. These stupid valley voices and pajama pants. One day I'm in math class and I'm listening to Benny Goodman (Jazz) and a kid comes up to me and asks "are you gay?" and then walks away. I was stunned because that was probably the stupidest thing I ever heard. I didn't learn anything, everything I know I taught myself. I couldn't stand 98% of the teachers. It felt a dictatorship. Oh man, I really couldn't stand high school! Thank god I graduted a semester early huh. a year and a half has passed and so far so good.

i do too. i cannot stand it. luckily i leave next year 2008. not very far away. i go to a public school drugs and baggy pants are there a lot. i hate seeing it,but that's not what I'm there for. but it can also be a very bad environment for some. i can't wait to leave high school. to me it sound like the students weren't your problem it was the teachers. 98% that's a lot. where is the other 2%.

I have been out for 12 years now. You will get over it. I hated it too, both during and for years after. You would be surprised how many truly hate HS. Move on with your life and let the past stay there. The people you meet now that you are out will not care "who" you were in HS and want to know you for who you are today. Congrats on getting out early!

High school wasn't much fun for me either. It seemed that all anyone was really interested in was the opposite sex and dating, making it hard for anybody to make any real friends. It didn't help, either, that so many of my peers looked down on being intelligent in favor of being attractive. Isn't school supposed to be about learning?

I went to private school. There were no drugs or baggy pants - at least not DURING school. I hated it. Mine was a religious war though ( me and the Catholics against them) - not anything like that.

Here's the good news! It's all up from here.

Really! It gets incredibly, unbelievably better most of the time.

Oh, there might be slow times that drag on, but every now and then there is somethin'!

You're not alone. I graduated two years ago and I still have nightmares that I have to go back. In my high school, the kids were just too immature.
