Your story has to have been told somewhere and for them to feel sympathy for you. We recently had a single mother of 5 get help by some local contractors to rebuild her house after a tree smashed thru it and they heard about it on our local news.

Sure! Just have the local newspaper do a story on your plight. Someone out there in the reading audience may have pity on you and help you out financially.
