I'm not 100% certain, but I believe newspapers of the era (1830's) DID NOT HAVE Comic Strips. The closest form of graphic humour was the magazine "Punch" which had single celled graphics.

Consider: a gentleman holding a child by the collar, while someone else (nobility?) steals his purse. The sarcastic caption would be something like: Caught For Stealing A Handkerchief.

Oliver Twist (1838), also known as Oliver Twist; or, the Parish Boy's Progress, is Charles Dickens' second novel. It was originally published as a serial, in monthly installments.

An early example of the social novel, the book, like most of Dickens' work, calls the public's attention to various contemporary social evils, including the workhouse, child labour and the recruitment of children as criminals. Dickens mocks the hypocrisies of the time by surrounding the novel's serious themes with sarcasm and dark humour. The novel may have been inspired by the story of Robert Blincoe, an orphan whose account of his hardships as a child laborer in a cotton mill was widely read in the 1830's.

Oliver Twist has been the subject of numerous film and television adaptations, and is the basis for a highly successful British musical, Oliver!.

How about writing about when oliver was framed from stealing from that man..... draw a comic about him and his partner waiting and all of a sudden the man comes and looks in a shop(thats wat happened right?) then oliver and his partner run out and he gets caught instead.... the man catches his arm and stuff....

It shouldnt be too hard..... but i think this part would be the best.
