get along better with other Air signs (such as Gemini's, Libran's or Aquarian's)? I am a Gemini and most of my friends ever since I was a child have either been Air Signs or Fire signs. Is this co-incidence? I cannot get along with earth signs at all.

Yes, definitely.
I'm a Libra and have the same experience. Fire signs are the polar opposites of air signs and I find that I get on really well with women who are fire signs but appallingly with men who are fire signs.
I have more arguments with other Libras than other air signs.
I've had nothing but conflicts with earth signs and I think Taurean and Virgo men are a total pain in the neck. I've found them to be petty, childish, manipulative, false and spiteful.
Think it's all coincidence Virgo men?
Try messing up your tidy drawers and cupboards - see how long you can leave it that way. I bet you iron your underwear.
We air signs tend to sleep curled up in the foetal position, have imaginary friends when we are children.. plus loads of other things which I won't go in to.

Sure. You probably find them a bit slow for you and boring since they tend to be quite methodical and careful in thinking and doing, whereas your thoughts and actions run circles around them. They are into concrete matters,things where you can see results, whereas you are more of a visualizer and thinker. Each sign has it's own gifts. Air signs operate differently than water, earth, fire. A Taurus might consider you flighty because they are so methodical. You tend to be more a thinker, they are the doers. A Gemini, for instance, can do two things at once. You could be talking on the phone and doing your hair, or cleaning house, whatever. Taurus wants to concentrate on the task in front of them. Unless their Mercury or mars is in gemini, they would have a hard time keeping up with you.
