Being an MCSE and A+ tech new things are always more expensive, I would fathom a guess when they come available in the next 1-2 years they will be $400+.

Right now, I have seen as large a Harddrive as 400gigs, terrabyte size which would being 1000 gigs are still a bit down the road, I imagine if they do come available it will be for corporte use, but still be open to regular people.

Try CDW or any large supply computer warehouse.

Hard to say as none have actually been released to the consumer market yet but some firms have come announced that they will begin selling them at some point this year.

From the information released so far it looks like Hitachi will be the first to introduce them with their 1 terabyte drive costing around $399.
After this Seagate should be launching their first 1 terabyte drive in the first half of this yr but no price has been announced (I suspect it will be around the same)

Or you could buy 4 320gig external hard drives from ebay (giving you a little over 1 terabyte)
I saw them listed for around $130 (buy now price) which would give you a total of $520 (with free shipping)
