It also happened to my 6 month baby. After I switched to another brand of rice cereal, he doesn't have this reaction. I would think the baby has allergic reaction to some ingredients in this brand of rice cereal. Try a different brand.

She is probably allergic to the cereal. What you can do is take her to the doctor and tell the doctor about her skin and how it gets red when you feed her cereal. They might tell you that you can give her something else besides cereal or another kind. They will probably give your daughter medication.

You daughter is probably having an allergic reaction to the rice. It may be that she did not have the symptoms before, but allergies can start at any time in a person's life. The reason she probably won't eat it is because she is probably agitated with the symptoms.

Something isn't agreeing with her system. Does any other food do that? I would try another cereal and see how that works. Or is the cereal too hot? Just checking all the angles.

Probably allergic reaction like others suggested, or another possibility : do you think the cereal is too hot for her sensitive skin? Be sure you're testing it before feeding it to her.

She is allergic to it! Do not continue giving it to her. Try a different type of cereal instead.

My son was the same way. Except his was with milk. Anywhere milk touched him, he would turn red. The doctor told me it was a mild alergic reaction.

Since then, he has become highly allergic to milk and it causes an asthma attack within minutes of consuming it. (He loves chocolate milk and has at times snuck around and drank it at school)

Talk to your doctor about an alternative cereal.

Best wishes!

Oh, it sounds like a food allergy to me.

Please stop giving it to her, and call your doctor.

My son couldn't eat rice cereal, either!

allergies....stop feeding to to her ASAP.
Call your doctor, have him/her recommend an alternative. Also, maybe your doc can pinpoint exactly what the rice contains that could be causing this reaction.......other foods may contain it in higher doses which could have a......BAD effect.
So, please call your doc ASAP and make an appointment and do not give her anymore rice cereal.
