It depends on what shade of brown your eyes are.
If they are light brown with gold tones, like mine, you should use a greenish eyeshadow to contrast the gold tones of your eyes. This looks -very- pretty.
If they are dark brown with almost no flecks, like a Hispanic or Asian eye, the best color is a mauve or blue, if you're daring.
However, any woman can wear any eyeshadow as long as it's the right shade to bring out her eyes. Go to a make-up store such as Ulta or just the booths in department stores (I recommend MAC, Dior, or Lancome) and the salesperson will be happy to recommend eyeshadows that will look great on you.

With all that brown going on, you might want to use a color that brightens things up and highlights the warmth of the browns. I would suggest purple or gold, maybe with a bit of shimmer to make your eyes sparkle.

make sure you have more than 2 (or less or more) eyeshadows to try on. Experiment with different colors and mix them together if you have to. Hint: Try something like a brownish beige color. Fits good with my kind of skin. It actually depends on skin 2.

To bring out your eyes, you should use a light brown. Also, a soft pink is very pretty. Don't over do it though!

I have the same color hair and eyes. I use a beige/cream to cover my eyes then add some plum colored eye liner and eye shadow. I get lots of compliments on my eyes.

I would go with neutral shades. Bright colors, like blue, pink, or purple, are a nono. Neutral shades would be the best. Covergirl has a bunch of shades to choose from, and you can find them anywhere, and they're cheap.

Pinks, browns, and purples look good. Try to avoid white and blue.
