I'm not sure if it can be classified as noble. However, it should be legalized and regulated.
Once regulated, the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases from prostitution would be drastically reduced. It is not the job of the government to legislate morality, especially when the legislation of said morality is detrimental to society, as in this case. The continued illegality of prostitution does nothing for society.

I think prostitution should be legalized. The only reason that it's not is that the IRS does not get any tax money from it. Of course there would have to be guidelines as to where it can be practiced like certain distances from schoolyards, away from churches, no ladies just hanging out anywhere they want. I think that's disgusting.

no it shouldn't be rising to a noble profession at all.
but i don't see anything wrong with it either.
the reason why it can't be rising to a noble profession is because men can take adventage of them and abuse them, and sometime even force women to become prostitutes beyond their choice.
and also prostitution is the kind of profession that donates nothing to society.
and don't start with the bullshit of relieving ones needs, that's crap.
but i think everybody deserves to do what they want, and theres nothing wrong with prostitution as a whole

Noble? No. I would like to see it more regulated, to protect the women in the sex trade from violence, disease and harm. It's a profession that's not going anywhere, so we should protect those involved in it as much as possible.

Prostitution is a guaranteed way to get AIDS, and supporting that institution is supporting female sexual slavery.
Teaching does not spread disease and death. And the teachers are not usually at risk of their lives.
