Nah, I have mine done and I love it. Just make sure that you go to a good shop to get it done. As long as you take care of it the only mark it will leave if you decide to take it out is a tiny dot of a scar. barely noticeable.
Go for it!
Note: If the piercer gives you crap to clean it with THROW IT OUT. Use regular antibacterial Dial soap 3 times a day with a Q-tip and warm water.
Before the last clean of the day take 2 paper towels, wet one with warm water and hold it on the piercing for 2 - 3 min. Repeat with the other towel using cool water. Then clean with the soap.
This extra step helps to reduce swelling and speed the healing process.
For work get a retainer. It's a clear nose ring. wait at least 3 - 4 weeks before you change jewelery.

When you choose to get your nose pierced, have the piercing done with a needle, instead of a piercing gun; the piercing gun causes more trauma to the nose tissue and will result in a more difficult healing process. Use a nose ring versus a nose stud, as the rings are generally made with hypoallergenic material (i.e., surgical steel), which is not always the case with the stud. The stud also has the potential to sink into the tissue and cause infection. Once you get your nose pierced, do not remove the ring for six to eight weeks, giving your nose time to heal. Also, to prevent infection while it is healing, regularly clean the area, as directed, using a topical antibacterial cleanser, and apply an antibiotic cream or ointment. Make sure to dry the site, too. If/When you're ready to remove it for good, the amount of time it will take to close up completely depends on your body and your individual healing processes. If there is any scar, it should be very minimal and barely noticeable to others.
goodluck :]

I had my nose pierced for about six months. I didn't get any negative feelings from older people about it because if you use a small stud, to be honest most adults don't notice it.
However, if you want to have a job, most employers will make you take it out. I had to remove mine because of this and any piercing of cartilage, such as the upper ear or nose, closes and heals quickly, so you will have to repierce it if you leave the stud out for too long.
All in all, it is a fun and cute piercing to have, but sometimes it isn't worth the trouble of wearing and removing it all the time because of a job.

well my i have my nose pierced, and i really love it.. i did it myself though not sure if i would have you do the same, but i did it with one of those earings you get your ears done with.
not really sure of any cons, but its deffinetley cute, and just puts some thing extra on your face when someone looks at you, just dont put a huge diamond
also some people say that the hole is always there and you can always tell you've had it done, its not true, trust me.. so if you get tired of it, just let it heal. no worries
