we have found its financially good, the problem: he lays clothes on top of dresser and in the bathroom on the counter more clean clothes. would like my bedroom to be neater and like one on decorating shows. but he says I have the rest of house, he will live from off the top of the dresser. we just moved from a trailer to a house. and starting to find new ways to decorate. but he dont like the ideas. I also suggested getting a bed with bed frame and head board and foot board, he dont see why we need a new bed? how do I go about saying I want a change in furniture in the bedroom?(going to use income tax refund).how do other husbands agree for the wife or woman they live with to let them decorate and like their ideas.
WOULD LIKE A HUSBAND OR LIVE IN BOYFRIEND OVER 10YR LIVING TOGETHER. IF ONLY 2 OR 4 YR, DONT ANSWER.
THANKS.

I don't get it: I've been married for 20yrs and me and my
wife are always doing things togeather when it comes to
the home thing. We move furniture around when we get
tired of it being in the same place, when we want to get
new furniture we go togeather and buy it, when the house
needs cleaning I help her, and none of these things
makes me a lesser man, it only strengthens our marriage.
Marriage is part of sharing and when a man and a woman
share in everything then the marriage is solid and strong.
Buy the bigger dresser so as to show him that you do not
mind sharing space with him to put his things in.

I am fortunate enough to have a husband that lets me do what I want in that department. Try to just let him know how much it would mean to you to make your 'love nest' into a cozy little spot just for the two of you. A bigger dresser may be nice, but would he use it? Maybe if he saw how nice everything else looked, he would take more pride in keeping the bedroom nice too. Good luck.

It may suck for a while, but if he thinks it is okay to put things on top of things instead of putting them away, leave them...and I mean until he has nothing else to wear, he will get the hint...I think you should be able to fix your bedroom however you please...and if he wants to watch the game, why on earth should he care if your on the computer..that is pretty self absorbed..pretty sad
