I had a period on November 28th and I was SURE I was pregnant because I was feeling sick, hungry, very sleepy, having hot flashes and some other stuff too. Well I spotted once on day 27 of my normal 29 day cycle and then I started what I was assuming was my period on day 28 and it lasted for 6 days. My symptoms seemed to go away for the most part after that too.

Well, this past Thursday I woke up with a very small fever, right around 99.3. And it felt JUST LIKE the flu. I had to lay down all day or I would feel really sick and dizzy. The next day all of my symptoms were gone, except that I have had a HUGE loss of appetite, if I smell a lot of foods I feel really sick, I pretty much have to force myself to eat and when I do eat it makes me feel sick and I feel slightly sick all day every day since. This has been going on for 4 days.

Is it possible that I could be pregnant? Has anyone experienced this before? I just want your opinion please. Thanks!!! :-)

Hi Heather,
It really sounds like you had a period and it seems pretty unlikely to me that you are pregnant. The symptoms that you are having now sound more like an intestinal upset to me than pregnancy. It is true that sometimes with morning sickness and early pregnancy there comes a sensitivety to smells and the inability to eat certain things that were previously enjoyed. However, the existance of your menstrual period makes me think that you are not pregnant. If you had just had some slight spotting that would be different, 6 days is quite a bit.
To put your mind at rest you could ask your doctor to order a blood test (almost 100% accurate) or, if she won't do that, you could do an at home test. Then you can quit wondering and work on getting pregnant if that is what you want.
Take care.

I have had similar experence. My problem was that I had ulcers and stones in my gallbladder. I am not saying that this is what is wrong with you. The best thing to do is go see a doctor, for you know it could be stress. Stress does the most damage to our bodies. Hope you feel better soon.

Take a pregnancy test or go see your doctor.

It's also likely that you had some bad food or some type of bug is in your system. It's best to see a doctor though, they will be able to rule out pregnancy,

you may want to get checked out by a doctor you could have just an infection and not know it, I have been feeling like that lately and have bronchitis so it could just be something like that, or it could be your getting ready for your monthly again because sometimes it can fool your body into reacting to food and junk like that to make you feel pregnant ( i get that all the time) but you may still want to be checked

It is possible that you're pregnant but to me it sounds more like you have flu. You should check with your doctor.
