Well when God created the world, he made it without sin. Once Adam took a bite of the fruit of the knowledge off good and evil sin was let in the world. Wars start because of sin (stealing, killing etc.) luckily Jesus Christ came from Heaven to save us from our sins so we can live eternally with our father when we are gone from this earth.

To defend is natures way. To kill is natures way. We, as intelligent life forms are trying to change the way of nature. And some of us are succeeding. But those of us that are succeeding are also being driven by those that still find it a viable solution, to defend ourselves and propagate killing. It all boils down to survival.
