25 years ago, everything was different...but I went with my own Mom's advice.

I fed my babies watery rice cereal by a month, graham crackers with formula by 4 weeks, mashed bananas by 6 weeks.

I got 3 strapping men out of it---none of whom have allergies or any other trouble traceable to the early intro of solid food!

Go with your gut--it is YOUR child, and you can feel what is right!

None are obese--and one is a 6'2" soldier in Iraq. Healthier than all the "milk only" asthmatic kids I see now....

Rusks?? Not sure what that it is, but formula or breast milk is all baby needs until at least 4 months. My baby boy is now 3 and a half months old and is still only on formaula and breast milk. I was strictly breast feeding for the first 6 weeks until it seemed my son could could nurse 24/7 straight through -- I eventually had to supplement with formula which worked fine. If your baby is continuosly hungry just continuosly feed her. She will eventually get full. Chances are she is going through a growth spurt and afterward her eating habits will calm down. Good Luck!!!

I don't know what "rusks" are, but, I would personally say NO.
The only thing a 5 week old should be eating/drinking is breast milk or formula.

They are probably going through a growth spurt.

If the baby is still hungry, feed it more.

Formula only until six months old - if she is still hungry up the ounces you are feeding her.

No. Baby should only have breastmilk or formula for the first 6 MONTHS. They aren't able to properly digest anything else earlier. Plus, starting solids too soon can put your child at an increased risk of developing allergies, diabetes and obesity.

MILK IS ALL YOUR BABY NEEDS.
If your baby is hungry after being fed, you need to increase the amount you are feeding.
