I have to do a project for my Mississippi Studies class and we have to write down the state symbols. My teacher asked for the state wood but i have looked in the text book and on the internet and i cant find it. If you know what it is it would really help me out. Thanks for the help.

The only help I can provide is the official tree is the magnolia, but, you probably already know that. According to your state's websites there is no mention of a state wood.
