It just means that they will watch you more closely for blood loss during and after the birth.
Have you been taking additional iron? Chelated iron supplements are best as they are best absorbed by your body and less likely to cause constipation.

I was anaemic for most of my pregancy and they will give you iron tablets to start with. If its really low you will be given iron injections. I had to have emergency section and ended up with 2 blood transfusions also but its all normal and nothing to worry about at all. The only downside is because of the iron tabs you get very constipated which usually leads to piles so if they do put you on tabs make sure you eat a high fibre diet and drink loads of water cause believe me the piles were more painful than my labour.

They should just give you iron tablets, nothing to stress out about :)
Depending on how low the iron levels are, you may be offered a transfusion, just to build up your supplies before the birth.
Please take whatever treatment you are offered- I didn't have my anemia caught before birth, so I felt incredibly run down with no energy after I had my baby...don't let the post-natal period be worse than it should be :)

Depends on how severe it is. You should be on an iron-rich diet. It can take 3-4 months to replace the blood lost during delivery, also. Depending on your delivery, you may need a blood transfusion or some packed RBCs.
Good luck!

you will simply be given something to raise your blood iron levels. if you do what your doctor suggests, you and your baby will be fine. try not to worry about it.
