A lie-detector measures the amount of stress in your body when answering a question, and compares it to the amount of stress you have when you answer a question to which you know the answer (such as your name).
If you are unsure, or nervous about the testing process, most likely the results will be inconclusive. It really comes down to the ability of the tester to make you feel comfortable about answering the question in a particular manner.
For instance, instead of asking you "Did you use drugs on Saturday night?", they might ask, "If you did drugs on Saturday night, would you try to lie about it?".
By following a series of questions in this manner, the questioner begins to make you think logically about what you did, and the fear starts to go away, allowing the test to be more accurate.
What it all comes down to... is if you TRULY do not remember what you did, then you will probably not be considered lying about that time. If you are using that as an excuse to get around the test, however, you will most likely get caught.
Good luck!

Sounds like you have a guilty concience about something!!
Lie detector tests measure heart rate and pulse, so if you don't have a physical reaction to the questions it won't show up as a lie. The subconcious tho...is a tricky thing. You may subconciously know that you did things that may affect your physical reaction.
If you get in this position, just think of as many really awful, upsetting, horrible things that you can to get your pulse racing, then perhaps they won't be able to tell truth from lies.

lie detectors doesnt detect the truth, they detect only if you are lying, so, if you were sure and convinced that you saw a UFO for example and were asked about it it will show that you say true.

Lie dectector tests use your pulse to figure out whether or not you are lying.
If you believe you are saying the truth, it will appear as the turth.
