Tony Parker: younger and quicker than Nash, can get around him; though quicker, not smaller, so won't get posted up (I don't think Nash would post anyway)
Nash can pass better (as shown by his soon to be third consecutive assist title) and shoot better but shooting only gets you so far, whereas Parker's layups go in more often than Nash's jumpshots, and passing does nothing in 1 on 1.

obviously this does not have to do with mvp or better team player.
if this goes 1 on 1 i can see it going to tony only because he can beat players of the dribble very easily and gets a lot of points in the paint.
nash is great at team basketball and he can get in the paint but not without a screen. 1 on 1 i'd give it to parker..
but in the end it can truthfuly either way. nash is better than tony at shooting so they both have strengths. it's a close match. coin flip.

It would be Parker, easily. He has great crossover/dribbling moves, a good shot and a good driving ability, plus he is better on the boards even though that isnt as important as it is in 5 on 5. Nash can shoot and pass, but passing does nothing in 1 on 1 and it is tough to shoot or get around Parker's defense.
GO BULLS!

I think this would be a good game with a two point difference in the score. Tony Parker would have to win it it because he has better isolation moves to get free.

Steve Nash because he is a better shooter, and he is quick enough to defend Parker's penetration.
