my dad lives 45 minutes away from my house and me and my sister go up there everyweekend. Well he used to pick us up at our house and he used to complain cause it was such a far drive. Now that i have my liscense i will drive my sister up and down to his house which saves him time which he used to hate spend driving. 45 minutes up and back can get expensive so i asked him for gas money for doing the job of taking my sister and me up there. Is it wrong to be asking for gas money when im doin something for the benefit of another person or should i be spending my own money taking my sister and i up?

It would probably be fair if you and your sister shared the cost equally. It shouldn't be about money, it's a visit to your Father.

you are only 16 . dad should offer to help you with the gas.you should not have to bear the burden of always paying for your dad to see you and your sister. you are absolutely right, sweetie.
