Any suggestions for reducing fogging on the inside car windshield? I'm running climate control correctly, and that works eventually, but it takes too long. My efforts to clean the glass with regular Windex with ammonia don't seem to make much difference in the fogging.

ok clean the glass real good using shaving cream the cheaper the better dollar stuff works great.if you dont belive it try it on your bathroom mirror then steam it up.only thing is you will have to reapply often but should be good 4 about a week or so.dont think this works for morning frost but then again you asked about fogging this will help prevent that.

First do you have A/C and is it turned on when you put on defrost? If not won't defrost. Other options water leaking into car, see if carpet wet anywhere, if one part wet problem in that area. If all dry check trunk for leak, from experience can be rear window leaking or trunk seal. If all this is fine either A/C drain plugged up or heater core leak. If it smells sweet and oily to touch heater core to blame,Then you need to get pressure check on cooling system. Also swearing won't fix it, will make situation worse. Calm.

Sounds like you have a break in the seal around your windshield and moisture is coming in. The only way to prevent it all together is replace the seal

your heater core may have a pinhole leak in it , it will not wet the floor but you may get a sweet smell now and then and your coolant will slowly drop over time
