According to state law's nationwide Childsupport ends when child reaches 18 and granduates high school. Since your son is attending college and is attending college the father no longer is required by law to make further support payments.

Only options now is to get a job and pay for the education, use student loans to finance the college education. Unless by chance the father wishes to continue paying support which is very unlikely.

None he is 18 and no longer your responsibility or his, so he had a legal right to stop the support checks unless he owes back child support.

even though you divorced the father and stopped having intercourse you fu-cked him in child support. and if you had a good lawyer he had no choice. but you thought life is good, the checks come on time every month and you thought he was gonna pay for college. at least his lawyer was smart enough to tell him to pay on time and keep your mouth shut. you wanted custody, now you are stuck with the bills.

even though your son is 18 and going to college ,your ex had no business stopping the support payments .seek legal aid and find a lawyer and i'm sure they will make him back pay you in all the months he stopped.as far as i know if your son dropped out than he doesn't have to pay cause he is 18 yrs of age.however is still going so fight for what is owing to you.it did take two of you to have him ,tell him to pay up or you are taking legal matters into your hands,i'm sure he won't want to pay for the courts fee as well.

fight back don't let him get away with it,he's the father he has to pay up.

depends on what your divorce decree states. if the dad is to continue support after age 18 or not. that's the big question you need to find out.
