There's a lot you can do. I personally like to wear my small Tiffany & Co. open-heart necklace when I wear my polos just to fill it that empty open-buttoned space. I think wearing those long necklaces with a polo still makes that space look to open since it hangs lower than that. Also, small hoops would look nice.

This would give it kind of a preppy look.

What I also tend to do sometimes is wear a lace cami under my polo and only let the lace show at the bottom. It adds a little to the simple look, and many people have told me it looked really cute.

It depends on several factors.
1) Where are you wearing this outfit to? Fit the accessories to fit the occasion.
2) Most people usually don't wear much jewelry with a polo, simply because it implies that you are going to do something sporty, like golf, for instance. Small hoop earrings, nothing flashy is common for people, look around. There are many examples.
3) Polos also imply very casual business wear, however, you said you would be wearing jeans. Are these dress-up or dress-down jeans? If you are doing a minimalist style, a clutch bag or string wallet will go nicely with this streamlined style.
4) Tennis shoes, loafers, or oxfords? This will accent your look, depending of course, on what you are attempting to portray. Are you wearing a belt? If so, choose the conservative look. Why? Because polos are basically conservative in style.
If you still don't know, wear whatever makes you feel good and that looks good on you! Color matters more than style. If you have the right colors on, that is what will stand out more than whatever style you choose. Have fun!

Wear a belt, a double wrapped long necklace, simple earrings, a few bracelets, and open up the polo a little and put a simple undershirt on. Presto! Outfit looking awesome.

a big beaded, white, medium length necklace. it's bold and it adds a bit of style to something simple. no gold to flashy go simple and silver. thin and thick bracelets, it's different and it adds some contrasts to a navy polo shirt. if you want to get elegant you might want to add a nice purse. something simple (no clutch purse, too elegant). whatever color it is make it stand out that way it's an accessory and not just part of the outfit.

For a preppy look, go with really any length of cute peals. If youre not into preppy then longish beaded necklaces from like claires w/diff colors that match your shirt would look cute. Bracelts... i think that medium sized to big bracelets look best, those hard ones that you just slide on. But if your going to wear bracelets and a necklace dont go over-board and look tacky! lol
