Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, or Alien: Resurrection?

The first three are all good, but Aliens is the best. Great story, perfect cast, and Ripley really shines.
Alien: Resurrection was a huge disappointment.

Alien was the best... more horror than sci fi or action, and broke some new ground by having a strong female character end up being the hero and the lone survivor.
Alien 3 definitely the worst. Killing off Newt and Hicks negated everything Aliens did. The prison colony stuff wasn't engaging to me, and the Alien FX were worse.

I enjoyed Alien: Resurrection best. I'm not sure why but I did. The worst was Alien 3.

Aliens, love it - seen it lots, I love the walking forklifts. They come out at night ...mostly, anyone ever mistaken you for a man, we're in the tube 5 by 5, we take off and nuke it .. only way to be sure, at least they don't frig each other over etc. etc.

Aliens is the best. Never a film like it before and the only one like it since is Starship Troopers. Plus, Hudson is awesome. "Game over, man! Game over!"
