my friends daughter is turning 13 on jan 20,and i need some good ideas on what to get her.

You can have a star named after her, and give her the certificate
You could find out what are her interests, and sign her up for some kind of a class ( with parents permission)
Treat her to a dinner certificate from a restaurant or one of those dinner trains
Have someone sing her happy birthday dressed up as something cute at her home, in the middle of her birthday party !!!
Get her some cool dvd's and a dvd player if she does not have one
A real cool letter, and a gift card to her favorite store
I believe it is the thought that really counts, may you find the perfect gift.

you could also treat her and her mom with you to a horse carriage ride,
or a day spa treatment ( that would do the magic trick for mom as well)

Electronics. Ipods are hot these days. Maybe a laptop or a computer. A digital camera, a camera phone.

This is her special birthday. So maybe a cute gold chain 16K or something with a jewel.
Try something memorable.
13th birthday is teenage year.

If you have no idea what she's into I suppose you can never go wrong with a gift card...then she can choose something she'd really like and you know she will enjoy your present.

take her and your daughter out to get manicures and pedicures so they can feel and look pretty or just give them bmoey or a gift card to a place they like ask your daughter if she knows the places her friend likes to go and shop
