Six or Seven months is safe. Both of my sons were born a month early. I went into labor with my first son the day before his baby shower. He was born on the day that his shower was supposed to take place. As is turned out, he came to his own shower when he was two weeks old. Have your shower around your sixth month to be safe.

7 months. My Mother in law planned a shower for 2 weeks before I was due, and I delivered the next day... I didn't have time to put anything away or do returns or pick up the few things I still needed to get... I've been sending my husband around to get the last few things this past week (baby was born on Jan 1 of this year)...
Do it earlier than I did!
Good luck!

I would have a baby shower around the 8th month so that you will still have time to buy things that you didnt get at the shower. I would have it around dinner time so that people will eat at your baby shower.

I think 6 or 7 mts is the perfect time.
It leaves you enough time to get the things you didn't get, and your pretty much out of the woods for anything going wrong.

I would say around six or seven months. That way you have time to put away all your stuff before you get too tired the last couple months.

when you are about 6 mos along I think...this is when I had mine and it worked out well. You can still travel comfortably and get things you did not get at your shower.

well if you know the sex and the doctor has an idea of how big its going to be then you can have it before but if you have no idea what the kid is going to be your better off to have it after the baby comes.

7 months is usually ideal. You won't be too pregnant but you will be showing pretty big. There is also a lesser chance of something going wrong.

2 months before your due date. You are pregnant enough to really show, but still have enough time to put it all away and exhange what you do not need.
