bigger (taller) tires and rims would cause the speedo to slow down, meaning you would be going faster than you thought.
smaller (shorter) tires and rims would spin faster, so the speedo would speed up, meaning that you are going slower than you thought. with the right help, the computer can be calibrated or there is a gear in the tranny that can be changed to compensate.

Yes the changing of the rim and tire size will effect your speedometer. It will also subject you to some local and state codes that you might not be aware of. Some states are going after people that change the tire size. Pa for example you can only change up or down one size. A lot of people do it but you run the risk of being fined.

yes, any time you change the size of the tires your speedometer will not be accurate. Big tires will have the opposite effect that small tires will. BIgger tires will also put greater wear on your engine and might shorten the life of the engine. Usually, it's not that big of a deal if the work is done right, that means making the necessary changes to the suspension and steering linkage. If you do it your driveway, you will have problems later...

Any change in outer diameter of the wheel will affect the speedometer accuracy. Even the wear of the tires from new to old will change things.

Check this site for calculations based on wheel sizes you plan to use.

As long as the rim and tire match the original diameter it is OK. When you put larger rims and tires you increase the diameter of the wheel and that is what changes the speedometer. Conversely it would happen with smaller combinations

It depends. If the overall rolling radius of the wheel is unchanged, then no, the accuracy will be uneffected. If the overall dimension of the wheel/tire combo is changed, then the speedometer will be off. It will read too slow if the wheels/tires are bigger than normal, too fast if they are smaller.

Yes, it would. The speedometer is calibrated to a certain size of wheel and tire. Wider or narrower tires are o.k. if they have the same outside circumference as the original tires.

unless the overall circumfrence of the new tires is the same as the old ones it shouldn't. but if ur going to put a bigger tire on it will, not majorly but it will still have a small effect on the speed reading

yes the speedo read is inside transmission either way your true speed of the vehicle would be affected the large tires speed reading would be slower than you are actually going
