Also, do you believe that Dance/Electronica music will last forever as well? I do for all of them, (rock/dance/electronica).

yeah because a lot of people play guitar, and respond to more melodic music instead of the r and b, and rap that has taken over lately.

Rock has changed so much since it's conception in the 50's. It has gone through many changes, from 50's rock to the faster versions of rhythm and blues, Even the Rolling Stones started as rhythm and blues, to what people now consider pop to acid rock to punk, like the Ramones, to heavy metal. So even though it evolves, I think it will always be with us.

Well, rock musicians are generally, to my knowledge, very passionate about their craft, and rock has gotten very popular. For every one band that doesn't try anything new, there are five that do, and rock has branched out so much almost everyone I know likes it =)

No, of course, like no other trend, it will change and be replaced by something else. That is, unless we all die because of the pollution & global warming, and given the stupidity of the current politicians, we should, in about 30 years.

I don't think so because they are starting to mix rock with some other fruity stuff(like hip pop). we got to do something and stop it !!!!
