Scout about his morals and beliefs besides the time when he said “...do one thing for me if you will: you just hold your head high and keep those fists down. No matter what anybody says to you, don’t let ‘em get your goat” (Lee 76).

You are really struggling with this novel, aren't you. He tells Scout that to really learn about a person, you need to walk around in their skin for a while - to see things from their point of view (Ch 3 - he's talking about the Ewells at that point); his advice about the mockingbird relates to race; "simply because we were licked 100 years before we even began to fight is no reason not to try to win" (ch 8?); when he tells Jem about true courage after Mrs. DuBose dies (Ch. 10); when he talks to Uncle Jack about Maycomb's ususal disease (racism). And so many more

Danielle: You REALLY need to read the book! It's a great book! If you can't seem to remember anything... re-read it! Or you could just rent the movie.

I don't remember the story very well at all. But, I think I know what you're talking about. He doesn't tell them; his actions prove his beliefs when a bunch of the towns folk were (now this is where it gets really hazy for me, so the actual events might not be correct, but the gist is right) dressed in their KKK outfits and wanted to kill one of the black men. And Atticus stood up against them and defended the black man. Then they all called Atticus names.
